GNO Goodness

I hope you were all able to attend the first Girl's Night Out of the year! We snacked on yummy food and we were fed by God's Word through our dear Julie Bernard.

I'll post a recap of that night soon but in the mean time, here's the recipe for the goodness our mouth's snacked on that night.

7-Layer Taco Dip – September GNO

From the Kitchen of Nikki Hughes

Layer the following, in order, in TWO 8” or 9” square pans or TWO 9” or 10” pie plates or tart pans OR ONE 9” X 13” pan….

1 large can (32 ounces) refried beans

16-ounces guacamole (not avocado dip)

16-ounces sour cream mixed with 1 pkg of taco seasoning

4 cups grated cheddar cheese (a little more never hurts!)

1 (3.8 ounce) can sliced olives, drained

2 tomatoes, diced

5 green onions with tops, sliced

Serve with tortilla chips. Enjoy!

Need a reason to take off your sweats and put on your dressy pants jeans?

Need a friend who'll tell you when you have spit up or banana in your hair?

If you don't get out of the house NOW, will you need to add padding to your walls?

Or would you just love to be able to chat with your mom friends while your kiddos play together...hopefully peacefully.:)

Then MOM & TOTS is where YOU need to be tomorrow, Friday the 16th, at Salem Heights Church!

Meet in the gym any time between 9:30-11:15am!

Bring your big girl words...oh...and your kids AGES INFANT - KINDERGARTEN.

TOMORROW (MONDAY) NIGHT! It's finally here...Girl's Night Out!!

Only ONE more day before Girls' Night Out! Hoping you are all planning on joining us and bringing a friend! Our coffee shop opens at 6:30pm and the program will begin at 7:05pm. Keep a couple of things in mind. First, there will be a raffle prize (tickets are free) along with other opportunities to win prizes throughout the night! Secondly, you will be a part of our first ever "switch up" and "take away". Don't forget to give us your best guess on what those things are! Karin Penn will be rewarding you. To have a chance to win the reward, email us your answer (or post it on facebook) of what you think a "switch up" and "take away" are! Finally, we will be hearing from our own Julie Bernard as she shares a bit of her own journey with us. The Girls' Night Out team is looking forward to you joining us and being together for a fun filled evening - just us girls!

Top 10 Reasons to come to Girls' Night Out

#10) Monday night discount at the movies isn't what it used to be Plus, Girls' Night Out is free.

#9) Pastor Carl doesn't usually work on Mondays, so he probably won't be

there to "try" your dessert.

#8) It's kind of dark while you're eating your dessert, so you don't really have to chew with your mouth closed.

#7) We have fun, new prizes to give away. Really. You're gonna want one.

#6) You're kids will probably be in bed by the time you get home. They'll be all sparkly and asleep, and you won't have to fight with them about brushing ALL of their teeth.

#5) We have free childcare, and when you pick your kids up they'll be all sparkly and sleepy and ready for bed.

#4) We have a new coffee bar, with Baristas, and little jars with sprinkles, and stirry sticks and everything.

#3) You might learn how to fix up some old thing in your house real nice (and sparkly).

#2) You'll hear extraordinary stories of God's work in the lives of ordinary women.

(Drum roll, please.)

And the #1 reason why you should go to the kick of Girl's Night Out....

#1) You'll be glad to call yourself a girl again. It doesn't matter how old we are, because we're all daughters of the King.

So. No excuses! Free childcare provided and coffee to keep you awake!

I know where I'll be tomorrow at 6:30...hope you'll join me!

I'll even save you a seat.;)
