We are thankful for God's Provisions!

Fall is a wonderful time. Delectable smells, warm fires, hot apple cider, and a season to remember how thankful we are for everything God provided through the last year. How do we not forget God's provisions? Pay attention to the details! Write down the details throughout the year and keep them in a jar. During this season, pull them out and remember God's provision from the past year.

Don't forget! 2010 Women's Retreat is coming up! March 5-7. Agate Beach Inn.
Recipe for Change. Change your thinking, change your life!

What a wonderful time of Worship! Thank you to the team that leads us each month!

A prayer of Thanksgiving.

Karin Penn introducing her mom. As always....funny! At the same time, a sweet perspective on Julie McGinty.

Julie sharing with us from the Word and her life. Here are just a few quotes from the evening.
" Our faulty memory causes us to forget God's provisions. God does not forget! How do we not forget God's provisions? Pay attention to the details! "

Make sure to set aside the date for our next Ladies' Night Out! December 14, 2009 6:45 pm. You won't want to miss it!

October's Ladies' Night Out.

What a wonderful evening this was..... from the very cute decorations, which in reality, turned out to be many "Beavers" vs "Ducks" tables...
to excersizing with Francel, and we didn't even break a sweat!.....

we heard wonderful testimonies of God's faithfulness throughout the evening during "Conversations with Angie". First up was Andrea Pruett's testimony of God's faithfulness in her life....
we enjoyed sweet snacks and even sweeter conversations with friends old and new.....

there were opportunites for us to recall God's faithfulness in our own lives.....

to be shared at next month's Ladies' Night Out....come back, you won't want to miss it!.....

there were more "Converstations with Angie". Beth Bartruff shared of God's faithfulness through health issues, job changes and changes in life's expectations...

and finally the evening wrapped up with a great worship time with our sisters in Christ, praising our Great God for His faithfulness to us.
God Is Faithful, We CAN Praise Him!!!!

October Carmel Corn recipe, YUM!

Microwave Caramel Corn
From the Kitchen of Bethany Schultz

4 quarts of popped corn (about 2 full air popped thing)
OR two bags microwave popcorn (and then eliminate the salt from the carmel sauce recipe)
large brown paper grocery sack

In a bowl add 1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt

Cook in microwave on high for 2 minutes.
Stir in 1/2 teaspoons of baking soda.
Stir well to melted caramel like consistancy.

Pour over popcorn now in paper sack, stirring well as you pour.
Fold top of paper bag down a couple of times.
Place bag in microwave and cook on high for 1.5 minutes. Remove bag and stir well.
Continue to stir until the caramel has cooled (or you will be left with one big lump) around 15-30 minutes. (Just every couple of minutes is fine). OR pour caramel corn out onto wax paper to cool.

Reminders!

Check back soon. There will be pictures and stories from our most recent LNO.

First ever Salem Heights Ladies clothing swap begins Friday! Don't forget to bring your gently used clothing, shoes, purses, scarves and other boutique items to the church between 5 and 8:30pm. Then come back and shop on Saturday!
